When University Meets Industry: Chuzhou College and Vallourec Join Forces
In April 9th, Vallourec Tianda and Chuzhou College, located in Anhui province, China, met to establish a strategic partnership and maximize the benefits of the university-enterprise relationship.
Véronique Junqua-Salanne, Group Talent Management Director, and the Chinese team of Vallourec held discussions with Zheng Chaogui, President of Chuzhou College, and other school representatives.
The collaboration focuses on three key aspects:
1 – Launching a management trainee recruitment program in 2025, offering Chuzhou College students internship and employment opportunities.
2 – Technical training for Vallourec engineers by college professors in the fields of mechanics and electrical engineering.
3 – Establishing an industry-university research platform to advance technical innovations and joint R&D projects.
Vallourec emphasized that this collaboration is part of its localization strategy and aims to create a cross-fertilization model between industry and academia through resource sharing.
Chuzhou College is committed to fully supporting the implementation of the project to promote industrial modernization in the region.
Both parties hope that this partnership will develop “premium” talents to meet the demands of the Chinese market.
