Vallourec at the Forefront of Sustainable Innovation and Technology at the ROG.e 2024

10/07/2024
Event

The Rio Oil & Gas (ROG.e) is one of the world’s largest energy, oil and gas exhibitions, taking place every two years in Rio de Janeiro.

This year, Vallourec stood among industry leaders, showcasing its latest technological innovations and sustainable solutions, highlighting its pioneering role in the energy transition.

Since its first edition in 1982, the event has been a crucial meeting point for professionals in the oil and gas industry, encouraging networking, discussions and new business and attracting thousands of participants, including global leaders, innovative startups and influential companies in the sector.

ROG.e is known for its relevance in the market, addressing topics such as energy transition and low-carbon solutions. More than 550 exhibitors and several side events made the exhibition a platform for innovation and debate on the future of energy.

Our attendance at ROG.e 2024!

The exhibition held from September 23 to 26, provided Vallourec with the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to the environment. At our booth, we showcased our pioneering role in the energy transition , producing seamless steel tubes with the lowest carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions on the market, around 30% lower than the industry average.

Among the innovations presented, Submagnético Freeflow® and Delphy particularly caught the attention of visitors. Submagnético Freeflow® uses magnetic force to prevent scaling of wells, thereby reducing environmental impact and eliminating production shutdowns for maintenance. Delphy is a vertical underground hydrogen storage system capable of storing up to 100 tons of hydrogen gas in maximum safety conditions, using corrosion-resistant pipes and fittings with sealing technology.

These innovations demonstrate our ability to meet the needs of key sectors of the economy while strengthening our strategic position and commitment to a sustainable futur.
